Christian Peacemaker Team’s tagline is “Getting in the way”. Founded in 1986 CPT acts as a Christian witness by getting in the way between warring sides. For example, in Iraq CPT was a liasion between American armed forces and families of men in prison. At a time when the American presence was pretty much armed patrols that sped out of the Green Zone and then returned. They are also active in Palestine, Columbia and the southern border of the USA.
Project AK:47 redeems child soldiers from conflicts in Mexico, Burma, the Philipines and Sri Lanka. They try to give a normal life to the kids they take from war zones through rescue, rehabilitaion and reintegration by operating orphanages in dangerous places.
To Write Love on Her Arms is
a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.
Instead of girls cutting themselves this group would like to “write love on their arms”.
