I read about this in a book called The New Conspirators: Creating the Future One Mustard Seed at a Time by Tom Sine. Cesar Lopez is a musician in Colombia, one of the most violent countries in the world. He decided to take shotguns and make them into guitars called escopetarras (escopeta=shotgun;guitarra=guitar). At his first concert with the guitar he said “This is about transformation…It’s about turning something bad into good…It’s about possibilities”. I thought it was way cool.
The book is about changing the way the church looks at mission.
